The ADB Young Professionals Program (YPP) is an exceptional opportunity for talented and driven individuals to kickstart their careers in international development. The fully-funded leadership development program aims to nurture the future leaders of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) by offering hands-on experience, rotational assignments, and in-depth exposure to ADB’s operations. Participants will contribute to ADB’s mission to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.

The YPP is a three-year fully funded program based at ADB’s headquarters in Manila, Philippines. It includes two 18-month rotational assignments to give participants a comprehensive understanding of the ADB’s strategic objectives and operations. The leadership development program is specifically designed to help young professionals build a rewarding career in international development while gaining insights into ADB’s Strategy 2030.

Exclusions of ADB YPP in Manila, Philipines

  • Only nationals of ADB member countries are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must be under 32 years of age by 1 August 2025.
  • Candidates specializing in STEM fields who seek technical roles are encouraged to apply for the ADB Technical Programs instead.

Eligibility Criteria of Asian Development Bank YPP

  • Must be a national of an ADB member country.
  • Must hold at least a first-level university degree in a relevant field.
  • Must have at least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field (e.g., economics, finance, engineering, public policy).
