The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program is a fully funded exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. It provides an extraordinary opportunity for Pakistani high school students to spend a year in the United States. Through this program, selected students will attend high school in the U.S. and live with an American host family, immersing themselves in American culture while sharing their rich heritage. Participants will not only take part in regular classes and extracurricular activities but will also engage in special enrichment programs that focus on leadership, community service, and cultural exchange.
Since its inception in 2003, the YES Program has provided scholarships to over 1,500 Pakistani students, helping them develop a global perspective and build lasting relationships between Pakistan and the U.S. The program fosters mutual understanding and aims to empower young people by enhancing their leadership skills and academic growth in a new cultural setting. Students who are passionate about representing Pakistan abroad, learning about a new culture, and contributing to cross-cultural understanding are strongly encouraged to apply.
The fully funded exchange program covers all major costs, including airfare, visa fees, school tuition, accommodation with an American host family, and a monthly stipend, ensuring that financial barriers do not limit access to this life-changing experience.
